Responsibilities
- Own high-impact work on Elasticsearch at scale, including index design and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with domain experts to shape technical direction and infrastructure.
- Autonomously execute high-impact projects, including writing application code and improving observability.
- Contribute to all phases of software development from ideation to implementation.
- Mentor and support the career development of other engineers.
- Raise technical standards and operational excellence across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a production environment with distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Elasticsearch and other backend technologies like MySQL.
- Good judgment around Elasticsearch operations, scaling patterns, and migrations.
- Proficient in software engineering methodologies including unit testing and code reviews.
- Experience as a technical lead for large projects and defining roadmaps.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems independently.
