Responsibilities
- Own and evolve generated service templates for .NET, Node.js, and Python, including scaffolding, dependency management, containerization, local development, and production configuration.
- Build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates in GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
- Define and ship structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerting standards integrated into service templates.
- Build the platform observability layer using Datadog, incident.io, and/or GCP or Azure-native monitoring tools.
- Contribute to assessment and proof-of-concept work for a potential Azure-to-GCP migration.
- Identify and resolve developer experience issues such as slow pipelines, confusing templates, and missing runbooks.
- Lead platform tooling decisions, evaluate tools, write ADRs, and drive adoption across engineering teams.
- Mentor Cloud Platform engineers and support product engineers using platform tooling.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one of .NET/C#, Node.js, or Python, with the ability to build, configure, and template production-grade services.
- Strong GCP experience; Azure experience is preferred but not required.
- Hands-on experience designing reusable CI/CD pipeline templates with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Docker and deployment on Kubernetes or Cloud Run.
- Observability experience with Datadog, incident.io, GCP Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor, or similar cloud-native tooling.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
- A proven track record of driving adoption through useful engineering tools and effective documentation.
