Responsibilities
- Provide operational engineering support for cybersecurity data systems in government cloud environments.
- Build observability and monitoring for large, distributed cybersecurity data infrastructures, including data ingestion and storage pipelines.
- Create dashboards and reports covering operational metrics, system status, performance, and capacity.
- Operate, administer, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and platform services.
- Develop infrastructure automation and apply DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Perform Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, patching, vulnerability management, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, security analysts, and Agile DevOps teams.
- Document technical procedures and communicate operational information to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining large-scale IT systems or supporting system/application integration.
- Proficiency administering Linux operating systems and Kubernetes through the command line.
- Experience querying APIs to extract and use performance metrics.
- AWS experience including AWS CLI, Config, Secrets Manager, and SecurityHub.
- Intermediate Python proficiency, including tools such as AWS Lambda, Boto3, and requests.
- Experience with Ansible, Helm, and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with DevOps infrastructure-as-code tools, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Beneficial qualifications include familiarity with government cloud environments, cyber data analytics, distributed systems integration, networking, information security principles, Elastic infrastructure, observability, and Kafka infrastructure management.
