Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop AxEMU system and subsystem simulation math models and validate them against requirements.
- Design math models for space-suit hardware and software systems.
- Create simulation scenarios for nominal and off-nominal space-suit operations.
- Develop interface code to integrate space-suit flight software into the simulation environment.
- Analyze simulation data to evaluate system performance and characteristics.
- Present analysis results and their effects on space-suit performance and design to customers.
- Improve math models, simulation scenarios, and simulation architecture.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for access to U.S. government facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of software development experience covering project design, programming, testing, verification, validation, and documentation.
- Experience with aerospace vehicle or space-suit simulations and math-model development.
- Experience with Trick simulations and math-model verification and validation.
- Experience with C++, Python, and Linux environments.
- Experience with software version-control tools such as Git.
- Strong Linux computer and software skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, aerospace software development experience, GUNNS experience, spacecraft-domain expertise, continuous-integration experience, and space-suit subsystem design experience.
