Base Salary
$76k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Moon Base Flight Software.
- Perform systems engineering for software requirements, interface definitions, design, and performance analysis.
- Perform software integration, testing, and verification.
- Integrate and test software and hardware in avionics test beds and flight certification environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors across NASA programs and projects.
- Ensure adherence to Johnson Space Center standard software process practices.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, software, computer, or systems engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
- Three to five years of software development experience is required.
- Strong C programming skills, Linux experience, and experience across the entire software lifecycle are required.
- Experience with GitLab, Git, Python, NASA Core Flight Software, real-time operating systems, communication protocols, device drivers, software and systems integration, automated testing, verification testing, and Jira is preferred.
- Experience with human-rated space vehicles and vehicle software domains such as C&T, C&DH, and GN&C is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, teamwork, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision are required.
