Base Salary
$149k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, high-performance, scalable, and reliable features for distributed services.
- Optimize database operations and develop patterns supporting data integrity, consistency, and efficient manipulation across distributed datasets.
- Implement solutions to complex scalability problems.
- Build and scale database services on AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.
- Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot complex issues and maintain service availability.
- Resolve database-related production issues to support rapid recovery and minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems architecture.
- At least 5 years of progressive software engineering experience focused on large-scale, database-intensive, and highly distributed applications.
- Experience with Database-as-a-Service platforms and their underlying distributed architectures.
- Strong programming skills in Java or C++.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- PostgreSQL software development or open-source community contributions are a strong plus.
