Responsibilities
- Drive the internal and external plugin development ecosystem for remote development and UI tooling.
- Define minimal APIs, draft documentation, and shape the team’s definition of done.
- Re-architect core subsystems to support flexible and portable settings across machines and remote or provisioned development environments.
- Organize and implement processes for the IntelliJ Platform API deprecation cycle.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in platform architecture and systems design.
- Strong understanding of JVM concurrency.
- Knowledge of Kotlin coroutines.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Critical thinking and architectural foresight.
- Ability to organize and perform large-scale refactoring in monorepos.
- Preferred experience building developer tools, working with different UI frameworks, understanding database internals, or developing network applications.
