Responsibilities
- Build, own, and maintain backend APIs and services for Doctolib Connect's web and mobile clients.
- Develop Java-based backend systems using Java 17, Spring Boot, Akka, and related technologies.
- Manage and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure and implement Terraform infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Keep security and privacy central to the development and operation of healthcare communication products.
- Collaborate with Android, iOS, web, Rails, product, design, and business teams.
- Manage the full development lifecycle, including stakeholder communication and production issue debugging.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing APIs with Java 8 or later.
- Experience running software on cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Akka, and Protobuf.
- Experience with database technologies, preferably JPA, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Fluent English.
- Curiosity about understanding why systems work, not only whether they work.
