Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy configurable Boomi integrations and Activiti BPM workflows.
- Design and architect complex software systems with strong performance, scalability, reliability, and service-quality standards.
- Drive technical strategy, project priorities, technical debt reduction, and engineering best practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate development activities to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Create automated tests using tools such as JUnit and Selenium and apply test automation pyramid practices.
- Conduct code reviews, root-cause analysis, service-health monitoring, and incident-prevention activities.
- Collaborate with architects, UKG Product Management, implementation teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for improvements such as Copilot where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8–10 years of industry experience, including 5–6 years of Boomi experience on production projects.
- Experience designing and developing integrations with Boomi AtomSphere and its components, connectors, mapping, and transformation capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of API management, REST and SOAP APIs, XML, web-service design, and upstream/downstream interfaces.
- Basic Java programming knowledge; advanced backend Java development is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Groovy scripting and Activiti BPM is an advantage.
- Boomi external certification is highly desired.
- HCM domain knowledge and UKG WFD/WFC functional experience are advantageous and highly desired.
- Experience with software development, functional and performance testing, automated testing tools, and browser/server performance profiling.
- Experience with NeoLoad, JavaScript, web or cloud applications, and multiple database management systems, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, prioritize parallel work, communicate effectively, and define performance and functional testing best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-geographical teams.
