Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve the NC2 management plane for deployment, lifecycle management, and operations across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Architect and develop highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services for cluster provisioning, networking, lifecycle management, and cloud resource orchestration.
- Design and implement cloud-native services focused on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and operational excellence.
- Lead technical design discussions and evaluate trade-offs in distributed systems, clustering, and large-scale service architectures.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, SRE, and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Own feature execution from design through deployment while maintaining a high-quality bar.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, or infrastructure software.
- Strong experience designing and building scalable distributed systems and cloud-native backend services.
- Hands-on expertise with one or more public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their networking, compute, storage, and identity services.
- Strong understanding of consistency, availability, fault tolerance, service orchestration, and resiliency patterns.
- Proven experience building and shipping production-grade backend services at scale.
- Ability to independently drive complex projects with strong ownership and execution skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to initiate, execute, and deliver complex features end to end.
- A master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with Python or Go (Golang).
