Responsibilities
- Develop and implement build-control strategies, QA tools, and quality processes.
- Define test plans and schedules with business and development teams.
- Translate complex system requirements and specifications into test requirements and testing methods.
- Design, perform, improve, and automate verification tests for payment software.
- Conduct functional, regression, system, UAT, acceptance, and release-validation testing.
- Perform impact analysis, defect triage, debugging, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
- Validate payment authorization systems, transaction routing, issuer/acquirer flows, and ISO payment data elements.
- Monitor customer insights and production issues to identify quality improvements.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with developers and domain experts.
- Maintain testing documentation and follow SDLC, STLC, and enterprise quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Working knowledge of card payment systems, payment simulation tools, and ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 protocols.
- Experience with card platforms, payment switches, Mastercard/Visa transaction flows, authorization systems, issuer/acquirer flows, and transaction routing.
- Experience validating ISO 8583 data elements including DE3, DE32, DE42, DE43, DE48, DE61, and DE63.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux commands, SQL, and at least one programming language.
- Knowledge of software testing life-cycle activities including test planning, test design and execution, defect management, and test reporting.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, system, and UAT testing.
- Experience participating in requirements reviews, acceptance-criteria validation, defect triage, and testing large-scale payment deployments.
- Experience in the payments application domain and with payment solutions for enterprises or service providers.
- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Rally.
- Strong analytical, debugging, root-cause analysis, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Tandem HP NonStop or mainframes is advantageous.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, JBehave, TestNG, SOAP UI, Appium, Selenium, or mobile automation tools is advantageous.
