Responsibilities
- Own and lead technical components end to end in alignment with business and product objectives.
- Translate business problems into technical solutions and work with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Shape product roadmaps, technical strategy, and engineering priorities.
- Design, develop, test, and implement scalable production-quality Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Build and develop AI agents using Google ADK, Model Context Protocol, and MCP servers.
- Write high-quality code in Python and/or Java across modern AI and platform technologies.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to software engineers.
- Drive engineering quality through code reviews, technical design reviews, testing, and robust delivery practices.
- Ensure solutions meet Citi’s risk, security, and compliance requirements and integrate with wider technology platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar senior engineering professional.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and technical design.
- Strong hands-on development experience in Python and/or Java, with experience in both highly desirable.
- Experience with Generative AI and AI agents, ideally including Google ADK.
- Practical experience with Model Context Protocol and AI, data, or service integration is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of networking, databases, and CLI tooling, with Postgres or Oracle experience preferred.
- Experience with modern delivery and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, uDeploy, Tekton, Harness, or equivalent.
- Ability to shape technical strategy and roadmaps and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong interest in understanding business problems and working with non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or line management within software engineering teams.
- Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases, UX/front-end development, and broader AI platform technologies is desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; graduate-level or continuing education is a plus.
