Base Salary
$190k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to build user-facing products and features.
- Own the full development lifecycle for major projects, including design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Write and review code and design documents, provide feedback on product specifications and mocks, and ensure successful delivery.
- Develop and implement Reddit backend service architecture supporting native mobile and web clients as part of a full-stack team.
- Improve developer workflows and standards, recommend best practices, and mentor engineers.
- Use product metrics and experimentation to support metrics-led execution and operational excellence.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on product and engineering roadmaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing applications.
- Fluency with product metrics and designing and analyzing experiments, with exposure to BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, or similar tools.
- Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Python, Go, Swift, Kotlin, Rust, or C#.
- Experience leveraging GenAI tools to improve software engineering productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, collaboration, and project execution skills.
- Strong focus on user experience and usability; experience with social products is a plus.
- Experience working with ML engineering teams and integrating ML solutions is a plus.
