Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop new products and product features for the Gemini platform.
- Write automated tests and collaborate with QA to ensure feature correctness and operation.
- Provide technical input during product planning, design, and requirements processes.
- Review software engineers’ code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.
- Improve codebase performance, maintainability, and operations through refactoring and upgrades.
- Support production software by responding to occasional alerts and bug reports.
- Design, develop, and test operating-systems-level software.
- Oversee risk-system functionality and develop or use monitoring tools to track and report performance.
- Identify, coordinate, and manage resolution of processing usage issues.
- Own technical issues through resolution and implement business-aligned solutions and recommendations.
- Plan and coordinate project implementation support and estimate development and deployment effort and schedules.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Scala, C++, or TypeScript is beneficial because they are used across the backend and frontend.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage dependencies.
- Customer- and product-focused approach with sound speed-versus-quality tradeoffs.
- Ability to adapt and manage competing priorities with peers.
- Experience using Bitcoin, Ethereum, or blockchain technology is preferred.
- Finance-industry, payments, trading, or exchange-systems experience or knowledge is preferred.
