Base Salary
$136k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate on backend systems for activation and viral loop features.
- Instrument new features with analytics events to measure user behavior.
- Participate in A/B experiments and help translate findings into product decisions.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Contribute to design reviews, sprint planning, and team retrospectives.
- Address problems in existing systems beyond assigned scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of backend software engineering experience with user-facing features.
- Experience with Python and a backend web framework like Django.
- Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and exposure to NoSQL databases.
- Some exposure to cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience with product analytics or A/B testing.
- Ability to think about user outcomes alongside technical correctness.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in design.
