Base Salary
$218k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Transform monolithic systems into scalable microservices with an API and platform focus.
- Architect systems and write code that enables application teams to follow operational best practices by default.
- Integrate and unify diverse infrastructure components into a cohesive, scalable platform.
- Design observability, reliability, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation frameworks.
- Drive initiatives to improve reliability and evaluate the operational impact of increasing availability targets.
- Collaborate with product, application, and integration teams to align infrastructure direction with business goals.
- Provide technical leadership in shifting the team from reactive support to proactive infrastructure engineering.
- Mentor and guide a team of six engineers while shaping infrastructure engineering strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on coding experience building internal platforms and tools for developer experience and operational best practices.
- At least 5 years of cloud platform experience, with GCP preferred and AWS acceptable.
- Experience operating infrastructure at a scale of many thousands of nodes.
- Experience leading architectural transformations from monolithic systems to microservices.
- Deep knowledge of reliability engineering and high-availability systems.
- Experience integrating first-party infrastructure and unifying disparate systems.
- Familiarity with observability, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience at a large-scale technology company or an equivalent environment is highly preferred.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to drive infrastructure alignment across engineering organizations.
