Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and extend AWS infrastructure supporting production applications and services.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes environments and create or upgrade Helm charts.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Use Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and repeatable environment creation.
- Improve monitoring and logging to help identify issues and optimize performance.
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Bash and Python.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, database, and production issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve development and deployment processes.
- Help design scalable architecture for large customer environments.
- Support incident management, root-cause analysis, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience and excellent Linux administration knowledge.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI/CD experience is particularly useful.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash and/or Python.
- Understanding of cloud networking, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with web services such as NGINX, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex production issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Preferred experience includes Helm, large-scale Kubernetes deployments, logging and monitoring platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, DevSecOps practices, cloud cost optimization, performance engineering, and PaaS or enterprise customer infrastructure design.
- Previous financial services or capital markets experience is a bonus.
