Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and operate full-stack application capabilities using Python and Go.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, automation, and supporting tools using Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related technologies.
  • Build product capabilities across network automation and mission platform applications, including backend services and user-facing features.
  • Build AI agent systems with tool use, external-service calls, multi-step reasoning, and structured and unstructured data processing.
  • Integrate agents with tools and data sources using the Model Context Protocol and comparable agent-tool standards.
  • Design modern front-end applications and generative user interfaces that dynamically construct components and layouts based on user intent.
  • Integrate cloud services, network automation tools, monitoring solutions, and third-party systems through REST APIs and structured data.
  • Develop capabilities that ingest, process, and correlate operational and telemetry data and automate platform workflows.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments, release processes, and Infrastructure-as-Code-enabled operations.
  • Build and deploy containerized, cloud-native applications while collaborating on scalability, reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, and code analysis, validating generated output for quality and security.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, deployment, and production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Participate in architecture, design discussions, code reviews, testing, documentation, release management, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply secure software development practices and collaborate with security and compliance staff to implement requirements.

Requirements

  • Professional experience designing, developing, and supporting production software applications.
  • Strong professional Python development experience with Django, FastAPI, or a comparable modern framework.
  • Programming experience with Go and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or other modern application-development languages.
  • Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating external systems and services.
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, backend architecture, and modern front-end web development.
  • Experience building AI-agent or agentic-workflow systems involving tool use, multi-step orchestration, and large language models.
  • Experience with modern front-end development, including exposure to generative or AI-driven user interfaces.
  • Hands-on cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and understanding of deployment, configuration, security, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Experience in CI/CD and DevOps-based software delivery, including automated builds, testing, deployments, version control, and releases.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Docker, containers, and cloud-native application deployment; Kubernetes or managed container platform experience is highly desirable.
  • Professional use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex software, integration, deployment, and production issues.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, propose trade-offs, iterate with incomplete requirements, and communicate across engineering, product, cloud, and platform teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is desired.
  • Desired qualifications include MCP or comparable agent-tool integration experience; LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or comparable orchestration frameworks; network operations, telemetry, or mission-system experience; AWS or GCP cloud-native services; Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CloudFormation; React or similar frameworks; vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation; observability platforms; NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5, FedRAMP, and FISMA knowledge; and federal, enterprise, regulated-environment, or defense-program experience.
  • US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a security clearance; DOD/DoW Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
