Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support distributed software applications.
- Design and architect large, business-critical systems using full-stack, cloud-native, microservices, API, and serverless technologies.
- Deliver engineering solutions across requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
- Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to transform business problems into engineering solutions.
- Communicate project progress and provide recommendations on technology and client-service issues.
- Deliver reliable, high-quality systems and support excellent customer experiences.
- Work with automated unit and integration testing, collaborative development tools, and agile project delivery methods.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in technology software development.
- Backend experience with Java, Python, Node.js, NoSQL, microservices, serverless, and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Frontend development experience with React, Angular, or responsive web design.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience building applications or platforms using cloud-native and microservices architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and unit and integration testing.
- Knowledge of TDD or BDD software-development techniques and automated testing of complex systems.
- Experience delivering digital projects and products using an appropriate agile project-management methodology.
- Preferred experience with Akka, Scala, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Spark, Flume, MongoDB, Cassandra, or other NoSQL databases.
- Ability to demonstrate hands-on technical capability in multiple programming languages and work effectively with diverse client teams.
- Strong computer-science background, intellectual curiosity, self-direction, adaptability, and willingness to learn rapidly changing technologies.
