Responsibilities
- Define and drive engineering standards, best practices, and technical strategy across teams and projects.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, design, implementation, and deployment.
- Influence system architecture and design decisions for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute hands-on to complex, high-impact full-stack development initiatives.
- Establish code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering governance.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels and foster technical and leadership development.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives involving engineering practices, tooling, and team effectiveness.
- Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, architects, product owners, business analysts, and quality engineers.
- Promote innovation, accountability, continuous learning, accessibility, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
- 3–5 years of technical leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with back-end technologies such as Spring Boot and/or front-end technologies such as Angular and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework.
- Strong understanding of SQL and object-relational mapping tools such as Hibernate.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and AngularJS.
- Expertise applying object-oriented, functional, and REST architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with SASS/SCSS and accessibility-focused application development.
- Experience producing clean, unit-tested, maintainable code.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers, defining coding standards, and promoting best practices.
- Experience with screen readers and other assistive tools.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience with Oracle and MongoDB databases and AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
- Working knowledge of Docker, NgRx, and RxJS is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Exemplary collaboration skills across technical and cross-functional teams.
