Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use Java, Python, Scala, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, container orchestration, and cloud services to develop solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, refactor systems, and improve performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: 3+ years with databases, cloud technologies, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, troubleshooting cloud environments, and observability.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, AI coding tools, and interactive AI tooling.
- Preferred: at least 1 year mentoring engineers and driving professional development.
- Preferred: experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts, large-scale technical initiatives, and organization-wide coding standards and design patterns.
