Responsibilities

  • Develop new payment integrations and services using Kotlin and Java.
  • Automate and optimize integration processes, including creating internal tools for integration-code generation.
  • Analyze external provider documentation, perform proof-of-concept checks, and define technical and business epics and implementation tasks.
  • Design, develop, support, and improve high-load systems and existing services.
  • Write test-covered code, conduct code reviews, and optimize system performance and database queries.
  • Analyze and resolve production incidents and bugs and handle requests from technical support and users.
  • Collaborate with QA, analysts, product managers, architects, and team leads on solution design and delivery planning.
  • Prepare technical specifications, maintain documentation, assist with developer onboarding, and support code quality.
  • Estimate task timelines and participate in sprint planning.
  • Review AI-generated code for production readiness and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial development experience with Kotlin; Java experience is a plus.
  • Experience with the Spring Framework and payment solutions such as billing, payment gateways, and payment processors.
  • Practical experience integrating with external payment providers.
  • Experience designing and optimizing relational databases, particularly MySQL, and experience with Redis.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Codeium.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of software development and design principles, test-driven development, CI/CD processes, microservice architecture, and technical estimation.
  • English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
  • Preferred: experience with Camunda, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, AWS, Jira, GitLab CI/CD, and internal tools that automate integration development.
