Base Salary
$193k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead platform-specific embedded software projects for Amazon Leo satellite and ground systems.
- Design embedded software from requirements gathering through mass production.
- Develop and work with embedded Linux, RTOS, kernel programming, device drivers, and peripheral devices.
- Work with Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, flash devices, ARM-based systems, and FPGA-based components.
- Develop manufacturing diagnostics and device provisioning processes across HVT, EVT, DVT, and PVT production phases.
- Mentor software engineers and guide software design best practices.
- Respond to high-priority issues and collaborate with internal and external teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Experience with Linux, embedded systems, consumer devices, or mobile applications.
- At least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience with networking or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or RTOS.
- Experience with kernel programming, device drivers, peripheral devices, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and flash devices.
- Preferred experience with ARM-based systems, FPGA-based components, and manufacturing diagnostics through production validation phases.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
