Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects.
- Develop complex integrated backend and frontend web applications and services.
- Review and resolve technical challenges, defects, and production issues.
- Manage multiple application environments and deployments across QA, UAT, and production.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve technical challenges.
- Lead projects, act as an escalation point, and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
- Experience designing, developing, implementing, and testing client-server and web applications using Java and J2EE.
- Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular or React, HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, SOAP, and REST.
- Experience developing web applications and microservices and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
- Experience with software development life cycle activities, requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience with build and deployment tools including Jenkins, uDeploy, Harness, Liquibase, and SonarCube.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, workload-management, and prioritization skills.
- Preferred experience with OCP, TypeScript, advanced JavaScript, GenAI, REST API development, Postman, and Swagger.
- Preferred experience supporting production, QA, and UAT defect fixing and deployments.
