Responsibilities
- Participate in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
- Identify system enhancements using application development procedures, script tools, and code analysis.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend programming solutions.
- Install and support customer-facing systems.
- Design to programming specifications and analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues.
- Conduct testing and debugging of applications.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited direct supervision.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks, compliance requirements, and control issues.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
