Base Salary
$133k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize infrastructure systems for large-scale machine learning workloads while improving reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Build feature generation and serving pipelines for online inference and offline training data generation.
- Develop high-performance inference systems and scalable cloud infrastructure for model training, evaluation, and serving.
- Build data management systems for scalable collection, labeling, processing, and evaluation.
- Partner with ML engineers to deploy production models and uphold code correctness, security, and production quality.
- Develop and operate large-scale content retrieval systems for content recommendation, including agentic and generative retrieval capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience, or a relevant master’s or PhD.
- At least 2 years of post-bachelor’s software development experience, or 1 year of post-graduate software development experience with a master’s degree; a relevant PhD is also accepted.
- Experience building large-scale production machine learning systems, distributed systems, or big data processing systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
- Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale ML infrastructure, with a focus on performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Experience operating highly available systems at significant scale.
- Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Ray.
- Preferred qualifications include graduate education or equivalent industry experience, ML training platform experience, AI model inference optimization, and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe2, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
