Responsibilities
- Own assigned partner integrations across technical discovery, API contract design, development, testing, deployment, and reliability monitoring.
- Build and maintain production-quality backend integrations using Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Read and modify .NET and C# code, including legacy implementations, refactoring, capability extensions, and production issue resolution.
- Implement robust error handling, retry logic, alerting, observability, contract tests, and monitoring for integrations.
- Engage with third-party technical teams to clarify API contracts, negotiate integration approaches, and resolve implementation issues.
- Translate business requirements into integration specifications and document contracts, data flows, and operational runbooks.
- Use Claude Code and agentic AI workflows for delivery planning, scaffolding, refinement, test generation, and production delivery.
- Collaborate with QA and contribute to team practices for AI-augmented engineering and reliable delivery.
- Use Linear, Notion, and GitLab for work tracking, documentation, and CI/CD.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for working with technical partners and distributed internal teams.
- Strong commercial experience building and maintaining third-party integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Solid Node.js and TypeScript experience for independently building production-quality backend services and integrations.
- Ability to read and work effectively within .NET and C# codebases.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including writing and reviewing queries and understanding data access patterns.
- Demonstrated experience using Claude Code or equivalent agentic AI tooling as a core engineering workflow.
- Strong engineering judgment when reviewing and verifying AI-generated code, especially at API boundaries and integration-critical paths.
- Strong attention to detail in API contract design, error handling, and edge-case coverage.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, serverless architectures, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is highly desirable.
- Experience with POS systems, payment processors, hospitality platforms, AI agent orchestration, prompt engineering, context management, observability tooling such as Datadog, Linear, Notion, GitLab, Shape Up or Kanban, and multi-region or multi-market SaaS environments is highly desirable.
