Responsibilities
- Individually design, implement, and deploy AI solutions into production for critical infrastructure and sovereign institutions.
- Develop GenAI applications tailored to sovereign institutions and critical infrastructure in collaboration with customers.
- Fine-tune LLMs, build advanced RAG and agentic systems, and deploy NLP applications at scale.
- Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, product teams, and science teams on complex customer projects.
- Contribute to open-source codebases for inference and fine-tuning.
- Participate in pre-sales discussions and provide technical guidance on Mistral’s products and technologies.
- Improve offerings based on customer feedback, with emphasis on security, compliance, and performance.
- Lead complex AI projects from prototyping through production and mentor technical talent.
Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- PhD or Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML.
- Proven experience leading teams to deliver complex AI projects from prototyping to production.
- Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and large-scale NLP application deployment.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain and HuggingFace.
- Strong software engineering skills in API design, backend or full-stack development, and system architecture.
- Strong technical communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
- Experience with React or other frontend frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with deep learning in PyTorch, open-source LLM or AI projects, and customer-facing enterprise AI adoption is preferred.
- Must hold citizenship in the target territory, France for now.
- Must meet local requirements for high-level security clearance, including requirements related to criminal record and national service obligations.
