Responsibilities

  • Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
  • Design, build, deploy, and troubleshoot custom implementations using Telnyx APIs, AI voice assistants, WebRTC, and related communications systems.
  • Run and integrate open-weight and hosted LLMs, including deploying LiteLLM gateways with routing, fallbacks, rate limits, virtual keys, cost controls, caching, logging, and observability.
  • Design model-routing strategies for real-time voice workloads and adapt models through prompt and RAG pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
  • Deploy production observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Lead technical discovery, POCs, pilots, production launches, customer-site engagements, and go-live stabilization.
  • Own customer outcomes, document solutions and runbooks, and troubleshoot complex integration issues with customer teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap based on field insights from France and the Nordic countries.

Requirements

  • A CS degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of building and shipping production software, including on-call and production debugging experience.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, including Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
  • Practical knowledge of production model integration, including rate limits, quotas, timeouts, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failures.
  • Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Experience with production observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, ELK, or equivalent tools.
  • High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams at scale.
  • Experience building APIs, including OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL design, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
  • Event-driven and cloud-native engineering experience, plus exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
  • Customer-facing engineering experience, including technical discovery, executive presentations, whiteboarding, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
  • Based in Paris or willing to relocate, legally authorized to work in France or eligible for sponsorship, and comfortable with hybrid work and travel across France and the Nordics.
  • Preferred experience includes AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, LLM conversational systems, evaluation sets, LLM gateways, open-weight models, inference-serving engines, GPU sizing, SQL, ETL, CI/CD automation, telecom or CPaaS, sovereign or on-premise deployments, EU regulatory frameworks, and security practices.
