Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs for developer-facing platform capabilities.
- Design secure, well-documented, versioned APIs with strong developer experience, consistency, and usability.
- Own projects independently from planning through delivery.
- Partner with engineering leaders on ideation and implementation.
- Collaborate across technology teams to develop impactful customer integration features.
Requirements
- Professional experience working within software engineering teams.
- At least two years of experience building backend services with common systems languages such as Go, Java, Python, or C#.
- Willingness to learn and use Go if needed.
- Solid understanding of API concepts and design.
- Understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with modern web infrastructure components and their management.
- Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, plus experience creating and evaluating technical design documents.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: experience in fast-paced, regulated, client-facing environments and experience designing and building public APIs and developer platforms.
