Base Salary
$194k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Okta's FedRAMP initiative and develop secure PAM products using AI pair-programmers and LLMs.
- Design, develop, deliver, operate, support, upgrade, and scale cloud-based infrastructure and shared services on AWS.
- Evaluate, develop, and roll out microservices and scale systems for growing business and specialized requirements.
- Lead design and code reviews and write unit and functional tests for scalable, redundant, and multi-tenant systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve service, framework, performance, and system bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security, and operations engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of programming experience with modern languages such as Go, Java, or C++, especially for backend services; Go is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database systems.
- Experience architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large-scale cloud deployments.
- Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, observability, secrets management, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, compliance, and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, authorization, computer science fundamentals, and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hire for access to federal environments or protected federal data.
