Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for enterprise Order Management and Fulfilment platforms.
  • Design and implement cloud-native full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and user-facing applications across OMS, inventory, fulfilment, returns, payments, and omnichannel commerce.
  • Build event-driven, high-volume order and inventory processing solutions using Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging.
  • Design enterprise integrations across OMS, ERP, CRM, WMS, commerce, and payment platforms using REST APIs, messaging, MuleSoft, and related integration patterns.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical design discussions, technology decisions, reusable frameworks, and engineering standards.
  • Drive GCP adoption, observability, CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure automation, secure engineering, and production support improvements.
  • Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, engineering managers, and globally distributed teams.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience with Order Management Systems, fulfilment, order lifecycle, inventory management, returns, payment orchestration, and omnichannel commerce.
  • Experience designing cloud-native distributed applications using modern software engineering principles and microservice architectures.
  • Hands-on full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, or similar modern frameworks.
  • Strong Google Cloud Platform experience, including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
  • Experience building event-driven systems with Apache Kafka, asynchronous messaging, high-throughput processing, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Understanding of API-first development, enterprise integrations, REST, SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth/JWT, API gateways, and MuleSoft or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, infrastructure automation, and production support.
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development, observability, secure coding, and Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Experience with Manhattan Active Omni, Sterling, Blue Yonder OMS, retail commerce platforms, New Relic, or Google Pub/Sub.
  • Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, architecture influence, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
