Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of Linux virtualization using Libvirt/KVM and containers to support customer solutions.
- Act as the technical authority on popular open source software like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Provide advice on deployed architecture and implement solutions for complex problems.
- Communicate regularly with customer teams about ongoing issues.
Requirements
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling alternative narrative.
- Extensive working experience in virtualization/cloud, primarily using KVM or OpenStack.
- Hands-on experience with containers, especially Docker, LXD/LXC, or Kubernetes.
- Expertise in cloud computing, including provisioning and orchestration.
- Professional experience with OpenStack and/or Ceph is a strong plus.
- Open source development or scripting experience.
- Extensive customer support experience with a focus on customer needs.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
