Base Salary
$115k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable features across Toast’s enterprise management products.
- Lead complex projects that enhance functionality and reliability for customers.
- Collaborate with various teams across Toast.
- Ensure quality by implementing automated testing for changes.
- Monitor the success of rolled-out features.
- Work with UX and PM on feature definition and design.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend services and APIs.
- Extensive experience with an Object Oriented Language like Java or Kotlin.
- Experience shipping production services while balancing stability and reliability.
- Experience in building and scaling distributed systems.
- Experience with Android applications in Kotlin is a plus.
- Experience in building front end applications is a plus.
- Focus on delivering positive impact for customers.
- Strong team collaboration skills with a shared code-base.
- Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics.
