Base Salary
$115k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient and scalable features across Toast’s enterprise management products.
- Lead complex projects that improve customer functionality and reliability.
- Partner with teams across Toast and collaborate with UX and product management on feature definition and design.
- Build automated tests to ensure software quality.
- Roll out features to customers and monitor their success.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building backend services and APIs.
- Extensive experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or Kotlin, including strong testing, quality, and software engineering practices.
- Experience shipping production services while balancing delivery with platform stability and reliability.
- Experience building and scaling backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Android application development with Kotlin is a plus.
- Frontend application development experience is a plus.
- Strong customer impact orientation, teamwork, and cross-team communication skills.
