Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines for durable, complete, and consistent data.
- Design and manage data warehouses and data lakes that support required data volumes and velocity securely.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to data complexity and volume.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Provide clean, structured data for model training and inference.
- Ensure data privacy, access control, security, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Develop high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, cross-functional collaboration, and technology communities.
- Manage risk and controls, follow applicable policies and regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise are required.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable data pipelines.
- Knowledge of designing and managing data storage solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes.
- Ability to handle large volumes and high-velocity data securely.
- Ability to create efficient data processing and analysis algorithms and optimize for complexity and performance.
- Experience or familiarity with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly valued.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists on machine learning model development and deployment.
- Understanding of secure coding, data privacy, access control, compliance, unit testing, and software quality practices.
- Ability to analyze factual information, solve problems using technical experience, communicate complex information, and advise stakeholders.
