Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write efficient, testable code following organizational standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and environmental issues with QA and support teams.
- Help prepare and produce software component releases for reliable deployments.
- Conduct programming, testing, and debugging to optimize system functionality.
- Contribute to agile processes, user story grooming, and sprint planning.
Requirements
- Entry-level experience with up to 2 years in Java backend development, including exposure to microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Boot framework.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture and SQL databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Bitbucket or GitLab.
- Knowledge of Maven build tools, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and RESTful API development.
- Preferred: exposure to Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with Kafka and Hibernate.
- Preferred: familiarity with automated testing frameworks for Java applications, cloud-native application development, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desired.
- Optional certifications include Java programming or Spring technologies certifications and containerization or cloud platform certifications such as Kubernetes or Docker.
