Responsibilities
- Build high-traffic web applications with PHP and Laravel.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and background jobs handling peak volumes above one million jobs per hour.
- Lead the technical conception of features supporting newly designed business processes.
- Own features from initial implementation through production operation, including health, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to application architecture decisions with the Lead Engineer.
- Deploy code multiple times a day through the GitLab CI/CD pipeline to AWS Elastic Container Service.
- Monitor applications using Datadog and Sentry dashboards and alerting.
- Participate in technical talks and collaborate with a highly skilled development team.
Requirements
- Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 and Laravel.
- Expertise designing and implementing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Expertise designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS, Git, Valkey, or an equivalent technology.
- Hands-on experience with relational database design and performance optimization, such as MySQL 8.
- Commitment to writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience with SQS, ECS Fargate, or Yii 1.1 is beneficial.
