Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production backend services for money movement across European and UK transfer flows.
- Own and deliver well-defined tasks and features while contributing to larger projects.
- Contribute to technical design and implementation using established architectural patterns.
- Improve service reliability and quality through testing, monitoring, observability, and delivery pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Apply backend and systems expertise during refinement, including identifying risks, dependencies, and edge cases.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver transfer and banking capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience building and supporting backend services in production.
- Proficiency in Golang and willingness to learn and work with other languages.
- Comfort with cloud-based systems, containerized workloads, and automated delivery pipelines.
- Ability to create well-scoped pull requests, conduct code reviews, and maintain code quality and test coverage.
- Understanding of system architecture, data modelling, and API design.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Exposure to banking, payments, or financial systems is a plus.
- Experience supporting production traffic and participating in incident response is a plus.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
