Responsibilities
- Create end-to-end test strategies and test plans for cloud-based networking applications and services.
- Plan, develop, execute, and automate functional, integration, performance, scale, and load test suites.
- Perform API testing, including functional, security, scale, performance, contract, mock-based, and automated testing.
- Build end-to-end API and GUI automation and review automation code written by team members.
- Review customer deployments and customer-found issues and address test coverage gaps.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Development, CloudOps, and other teams.
- Test wired and wireless enterprise networking protocols and security concepts.
- Perform performance testing and monitoring using tools such as JMeter and Locust.
- Debug microservices-oriented products and work with cloud, containerization, database, and monitoring technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 to 12 years of experience in the network management or orchestration domain; the position description also cites 8 to 12 years of experience.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications and working with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, clustering solutions, virtualization, and hypervisors such as ESX and Hyper-V.
- Hands-on programming experience with Java, Python, Robot, Perl, Go, or TCL/TK.
- Experience with functional, integration, performance, scale, load, API, and UI automation testing.
- Experience with Selenium or Playwright, Robot Framework, Python, Git, and GitHub.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including VLAN, IP, STP, TCP, UDP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, and SPBM.
- Knowledge of networking security concepts and protocols including AAA, 802.1X, captive portals, VPN, firewalls, and SSL.
- Experience with network testing tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, JMeter, or Locust.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Ignite, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience or exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related tools.
