Responsibilities
- Establish and document engineering standards across the Model Authoring pods and ensure new work conforms to them.
- Set and own technical direction for model representation and persistence, the model registry, secure context access, and shared agentic infrastructure.
- Define and manage technical interfaces and dependencies between Model Authoring and other technology teams.
- Work hands-on in code on the stream’s most difficult and highest-risk problems.
- Help define AI-native engineering practices, including how agents and humans share model development and engineering work.
- Influence technical decisions across pods and support the growth of other engineers.
Requirements
- Experience working in an AI-native environment and using, introducing, or experimenting with AI or agentic engineering tools.
- Product-focused engineering experience with an understanding of users, customer pain points, and commercial outcomes.
- Proven experience setting technical direction and owning architecture in ambiguous domains without an established playbook.
- End-to-end ownership of a significant technical challenge or service, including the ability to explain trade-offs, contracts, and lessons learned.
- Experience influencing across teams, handling challenge, listening to feedback, and persuading stakeholders.
- Experience working effectively across distributed teams, particularly across Warsaw and London.
- Developer experience work, including building tools for developers or actuaries, is preferred.
