Responsibilities
- Establish the project’s technical vision, architecture, and design direction.
- Lead design and code reviews and make sound technical decisions with clear trade-offs.
- Remain hands-on by writing code for critical and complex project components.
- Own technical delivery end to end, including roadmap management, risk resolution, quality, and timelines.
- Mentor engineers, pair on difficult problems, and support their technical growth.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for Product, the Engineering Manager, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Translate product requirements and business value into coherent technical solutions.
- Promote AI-assisted development tools, automation, and AI literacy across the project team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong technical foundation.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-sprint technical projects to successful delivery, typically as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead.
- Experience mentoring engineers and accelerating their technical growth.
- Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions for team-sized projects.
- Strong communication skills across technical and business contexts.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including SAFe or Scrum, and modern software delivery practices.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and their impact on engineering productivity.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions amid ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Interest in progressing toward Engineering Manager or Staff Engineer leadership paths.
