Responsibilities
- Own software engineering problems end-to-end from design through deployment.
- Introduce architecture, engineering techniques, and best practices that improve scalability, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build tooling and observability to monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and resolve instability.
- Balance rapid iteration on early-stage systems with long-term architectural soundness.
- Contribute to engineering excellence, mentorship, and team collaboration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or distributed systems.
- Experience building and operating production-grade systems at scale in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems written in Python, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with microservice design, API gateways, event streaming using Kafka or Kinesis, and container orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker.
- Experience with DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines; CloudBees or Harness familiarity is a plus.
- Strong debugging, instrumentation, and observability skills across distributed systems.
- Ability to take ownership of complex problems and learn quickly.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred experience building agentic AI applications with LLM frameworks or MCP servers, AI engineering, and startup or early-stage product development.
