Responsibilities
- Lead responsibility for the team's code, design, and project delivery as the functional lead.
- Build and scale video processing platforms, streaming systems, and media infrastructure.
- Optimize video codecs, media quality, latency, resource utilization, and application performance.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and complex production problems.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, propose solutions, and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Collaborate with product managers to decompose projects and prioritize work.
- Optimize applications across mobile, web, and Living Room platforms.
- Mentor and guide other developers.
Requirements
- B-Tech or M-Tech in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 9–12 years of progressive software development experience.
- Strong coding and design skills in Java or Golang.
- Experience building high-scale distributed domain-driven microservices.
- Proficiency with MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with AWS services and stacks such as SQS, DynamoDB, EKS, and Aurora is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- Effective stakeholder communication and teamwork skills.
- Deep expertise in video codec technologies, streaming protocols, and large-scale media infrastructure.
