Responsibilities
- Execute the full software development lifecycle hands-on.
- Develop backend web applications and APIs and manage databases using an event-driven architecture.
- Design and develop services that retrieve, process, and transform requests in near real time.
- Contribute to software development best practices and guidelines.
- Provide production-client support and improvements focused on product quality and resilience.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and take end-to-end ownership of a mission-critical platform operating 24/7.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or a similar technical degree.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and delivering advanced applications.
- Experience designing and operating large production systems.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with multithreaded programming and object-oriented design principles and patterns.
- Experience building high-performance, scalable services with high throughput and low latency.
- Technical English communication skills.
- Knowledge of Zookeeper, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Some experience with Python and Django is valued.
- Ability to work autonomously with a critical mindset.
