Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic technical leadership and subject matter expertise for government AI, data analytics, and IT infrastructure initiatives.
  • Advise on agile development practices, delivery cadences, code development, integration, testing, quality assurance, and configuration control.
  • Design scalable computer infrastructure and enterprise architectures aligned with IT and AI engineering standards.
  • Develop architectural blueprints balancing performance, security, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and operational overhead.
  • Evaluate implementation progress, management practices, lifecycle planning, stakeholders, and agency-wide technology alignment.
  • Conduct engineering analysis of migration strategies, technology transitions, hardware and software configurations, performance, and security impacts.
  • Assess terrestrial data center and cloud deployment options and information access and control requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics technologies and develop strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Develop change management strategies to address policy, process, organizational, cultural, technical, and procedural barriers.
  • Prepare executive presentations and technical documentation and facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or other advanced relevant technical degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and solutions design, including at least 5 years in government or defense.
  • Strong expertise in agile development methodologies and relevant certifications such as Scrum Master or SAFe.
  • Deep understanding of government IT standards, compliance requirements, and security frameworks.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms, data analytics, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Current security clearance or ability to obtain the required clearance level.
  • Experience with DoD or federal digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
  • TOGAF or FEAF enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of government acquisition and contracting processes is preferred.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and automated deployment pipelines is preferred.
