Base Salary
$175k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive technical solutions and identify architectural improvements across multiple technology domains.
- Evaluate and optimize solution architectures for performance, security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Architect cloud-native applications, microservices-based solutions, enterprise search and analytics platforms, AI/ML applications, and real-time data streaming systems.
- Provide technical leadership, implementation guidance, and architecture pattern recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Lead application modernization initiatives, including monolith decomposition, legacy platform decommissioning, and migration to service-oriented or microservices architectures.
- Support business development, pipeline development, account growth, solution portfolio expansion, and strategic planning.
- Provide technical advisory services and present solution architectures to senior government executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering, and technical architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and deploying enterprise cloud applications with AI/ML on AWS.
- Strong solution architecture experience translating business requirements into scalable application architectures and leading enterprise application design.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon OpenSearch and/or Elastic Stack, including indexing, search performance tuning, data ingestion pipelines, and security practices.
- Experience architecting unified analytics platforms using Databricks for large-scale data processing, machine learning workflows, and collaborative data science.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, application modernization, and real-time data streaming using Apache Kafka or other message brokers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability clearance.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification preferred, or ability to obtain it.
- Must reside within commuting distance of the customer site in Washington, DC.
