Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain stable production tools for the design team and downstream design automation systems.
- Develop software automation that improves efficiency and throughput for architecture and business development teams.
- Build an exchange layer between the company’s internal model and external MEP consultants.
- Develop automated BIM takeoffs that produce high-confidence estimates during design.
- Build tools that help architects rapidly evaluate value-engineering options.
- Collaborate with software engineers to build and support reliable tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in design, CAD, or BIM automation, ideally in Type III, Type V, or residential construction.
- Strong general coding experience, ideally in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience in automated testing and releases or deployments.
- Professional Revit experience, including building integrations such as Revit plugins, Dynamo, pyRevit, or Autodesk Platform Services.
- Experience building API integrations with external systems.
- Foundational knowledge of parametric design.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build consensus around a technical vision.
- Experience using coding agents to prototype, collaborate, and rapidly develop solutions.
- Experience with Autodesk Platform Services is preferred.
- Experience integrating with Autodesk Build or similar project management software is preferred.
- Experience in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing setting is preferred.
