Responsibilities
- Design and deliver highly performant, reliable, intuitive AI agents for production use
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration
- Build, tune, and evolve AI agents in production environments
- Partner directly with enterprise leaders and startups to understand business challenges and develop AI agent solutions
- Prototype tools and features and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to evolve Sierra’s core platform
- Develop industry-specific agent frameworks and capabilities such as self-service, new agent architectures, and generative agent development
- Experiment with voice models and integrate them at enterprise scale
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing and ambiguous environments
- Builder and tinkerer mindset with high agency and creative problem solving
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience building or deploying AI or LLM systems in production is advantageous
- Founder or founding engineer experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering is advantageous
- Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go is advantageous
- Previous customer-facing or external technical project leadership experience is advantageous
