Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI-powered capabilities using large language models, focusing on context management, reliability, and customer value.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation solutions using Cosmos DB and semantic search.
- Use agentic development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity, quality, testing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to translate customer needs into scalable solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI approaches, share knowledge, and improve engineering practices and technical direction.
- Maintain standards for security, privacy, responsible AI, operational excellence, and service reliability.
- Pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred experience with large language models, especially context management and optimization.
- Preferred experience building retrieval-augmented generation solutions with Cosmos DB and semantic search.
- Preferred experience adopting agentic development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot.
