Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performing software solutions.
- Build and support Java and Spring-based applications, microservices, and RESTful web services.
- Contribute to infrastructure and deployment pipelines that enable reliable delivery of digital solutions.
- Define software requirements and solution strategies in collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, unit testing, and technology communities.
- Apply secure coding practices, manage risks and controls, and comply with relevant policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Analyze problems, select solutions using technical experience and precedents, and advise stakeholders within the area of expertise.
Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the relevant software engineering area.
- Extensive experience with Core Java and J2EE design and development for large-scale applications.
- Experience with Spring Framework, including Core, Boot, MVC, AOP, and Security.
- Experience developing Spring Boot microservices using auto-configuration and starters.
- Experience designing, developing, and documenting RESTful web services using RAML or OpenAPI.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming, data modeling, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Knowledge of Angular or React JS, React Native, and micro-frontend architecture is valued.
- Knowledge of automated testing and continuous integration and deployment tools and practices is valued.
- Knowledge of mobile app engineering is valued.
- Experience in business banking or payments domains, such as FPS, RPS, bill payments, or APIs, is valued.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate complex or sensitive information, and influence technical decisions.
